Urban Outfitters, sales up for the year

For its 2015 financial year ended on 31 January, American group Urban Outfitters has posted revenue of 3.3 billion dollars, up 8% compared to last year.


All of the group's brands saw an increase, in fact. Urban Outfitters' growth is back up with sales that amounted to 1.382 billion dollars, or +1.1%. Sales at the Anthropologie brand went up 8% to 1.380 billion dollars, and sales at Free People jumped 27% to 529 million dollars.

The group's retail activity increased 6.5% to 3 billion dollars, while it wholesale activity leapt 27% to 224 million dollars. Over the period, Urban Outfitters opened 15 Anthropologie stores, 12 Free People stores and 11 Urban Outfitters stores (compared to three closures).

For its fourth quarter, the group saw its sales rise 12% to 1.01 billion dollars.

The Urban Outfitters group will publish its 2015 results on 9 March.
