British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood is mostly associated with the punk movement and a certain rebellious spirit, but her latest project is more traditional than usual.

Monteverdi Choir

Westwood has designed the jackets that the ladies in the Monteverdi Choir, which has over 150 recordings to its name and has won a number of prizes, will wear when performing.

Called the "Wrap", the jacket was designed especially for comfort and elegance by the Vivienne Westwood couture team. Westwood has a long tradition of dressing performers and cross-arts collaborations.

“For us their music-making is different, the sound is brighter and clearer, the music lifts you. It’s bliss to hear them, a tremendous experience,” Vivenne Westwood said of the Monteverdi Choir.

Vivienne Westwood recently announced a 5.7% increase in turnover for her company, up to £33.8m in the year ended December 31, 2015.
