Vuarnet will donate 20% of its April revenues to healthcare personnel, entering the struggle against Covid-19.

The famed sunglass manufacturer will contribute its donation of one fifth of its monthly revenues to the fund All United Against the Virus. It brings together three institutions: The Pasteur Institute, the Fondation de France and the Assistance-Publique Hôpitaux de Paris. The goal of this alliance is to mobilize and collect donations to support healthcare staff, hospitals and research projects.

“Faced with this unprecedented epidemic, we want to be active and united by supporting hospitals and all healthcare personnel, who take risks every day to treat patients with Covid-19,” Vuarnet said in a release.

“Let’s help them and take care of yourselves. #stayindoors,” said the brand, which has created a new logo featuring a red heart behind its name, instead of the traditional V.

Vuarnet noted that while it is recognized for making ski masks, the company lacks the technical skills to produce protective masks.

“On the other hand, we would like to contribute economically to the collective effort by redistributing part of our turnover,” Vuarnet noted.
