Following the appointment of new CEO Stefano Saccone last July, Corrado Scala (formerly with Ralph Lauren) has joined Woolrich International as sales director Europe, chiefly tasked with bolstering the brand's international expansion.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Corrado to Woolrich.  His experience, professionalism, and enthusiasm are well-known and appreciated in the industry, and I am confident he will be a key driver of the brand transformation we have planned,” commented Saccone in a press release.

Scala has had a solid professional career in fashion and luxury sales, having held increasingly senior posts at Murphy & Nye, Mandarina Duck, Fay and Tommy Hilfiger. Most recently, he was the Senior Sales Director Southern Europe for Ralph Lauren, based in Milan.

“I am very pleased to be joining Woolrich and its new management team at this exciting time in the brand’s history. Our common goal is to grow the business globally, while elevating the quality of distribution and engaging with consumers to discover the richness of this authentic American outdoor brand,” said Scala.

Woolrich was founded in northern Pennsylvania in 1830 by John Rich, and now owns two labels: Woolrich John Rich & Bros., a contemporary, high-end outerwear line, and Woolrich Outdoor, designed in partnership with Japanese sportswear brand Goldwin. The collections are distributed in 45 countries via a network of 32 monobrand stores.

The Woolrich brand is owned by Woolrich International, created in 2016 after the merger of Woolrich Inc. and Woolrich Europe. In 2018, the L-Gam investment fund became the group’s majority shareholder.
