It said the €47 million distribution centre, advances its “omni-stock vision and furthers creative innovation” for its two luxury in-season e-tailers.

The 54,000 sq m space serves as a global distribution centre, and also takes in a “Digital Production Hub”, with 6,000 sq m “dedicated to creative innovation and the creation of visual content for Italian and global luxury brands sold on Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter”.

It’s the first time in YNAP’s history that a single hub will help to serve all of Net-A-Porter’s and Mr Porter’s global customer base, “doubling the stores’ existing inventory capacity”.

Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter’s operations will now be managed from the Landriano centre for its 4.5 million customers in 180 countries around the world and it means the two e-tailers will be able to double their inventory capacity.

The location is also one of the group’s “most significant investments in Italy in 20 years, and is a key component of the long-term vision for the business”.

The importance of the centre was underlined by the opening event that was attended by the Italian government’s Minister of Regional Affairs and Autonomies, its Minister for Youth Policy, and its Vice-Minister of Economic Development.
