Yoox experimented with a new type of pick-up service to facilitate Christmas shopping for its customers. Through a partnership with the Italian bank BNL, which is owned by the French group BNP Paribas, the Italian online fashion retail site allowed its clients for the first time to place orders on the website and then to go pick up their purchases from two branches of BNL in Rome and Milan.

Yoox launches exclusive pick-up service from banks

“A pilot project for yoox.com’s customers starting in Rome and Milan, the exclusive service, the result of an encounter between fashion, e-commerce and the banking system, will offer reliability and excellence to the final customer,” the Bologna-based company said in a statement.

"With the pick-up service at the bank’s branches, the collection of the package will be easier, faster and above all convenient.” Consumers can pick their package when they want, greeted on-site in a dedicated space.

Yoox has gone even further since, thanks to this new system, it allowed customers to place their orders until 8pm on December 23 and to pick up their packages from the bank on the morning of December 24...just in time for Christmas.
