Yves Rocher appoints Jean-David Schwartz as managing director
French group Rocher, owner among others of Petit Bateau and Arbonne, has recently named Jean-David Schwartz as managing director of its leading brand, Yves Rocher. Schwartz’s appointment comes in the wake of the departure of Guy Flament, who worked for 26 years with the Rocher group.
Schwartz began with Yves Rocher in Houston, Texas, in 2002. From 2011 to 2015 he was the managing director of Tridem Pharma, a specialist in pharmaceutical product distribution, before returning to Rocher as managing director of Yves Rocher North America, taking charge of the brand’s business in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
In May 2018, Schwartz took the helm of California-based natural cosmetics brand Arbonne, which was bought by the Rocher group the same year.
Yves Rocher is a pioneer in plant-based cosmetics. It operates 3,100 monobrand stores worldwide, reaching 30 million customers. The Rocher group generates a revenue of approximately €3 billion, and sales for Yves Rocher are worth €1.4 billion.
