Agnès Troublé, designer and founder of the agnès b. label, met Vivienne Westwood in Paris on the occasion of the COP21 conference. The two designers reiterated once more their engagement in environmental issues, especially regarding the preservation of the oceans. The Parisian fashion label welcomed Vivienne Westwood on board its schooner Tara.

The gallery-owner, designer and collector bought the famous schooner in 2003 with her son Etienne Bourgois, CEO of the agnès b. group since 1986. This allowed the launch of the Tara Expeditions initiative which, through an agnès b. endowment fund which co-finances Tara's voyages together with other sponsors, organises scientific missions aimed at making the general public more aware of the impact of global warming on the oceans.
