Amazon adds limited edition Georg Jensen collection
Amazon Fashion is launching an exclusive limited edition Georg Jensen jewellery collection featuring Gemfield Rubies. The range, available from Amazon’s European websites from this week, comprises five pieces that bring back the iconic 1960’s Georg Jensen Mobius shape.
“Georg Jensen and Gemfields are both leaders in their respective fields - Georg Jensen for expertise in design and craftsmanship, and Gemfields as a leading supplier of responsibly sourced gemstones,” said Julian Exposito Bader, Head of Vendor Management for Jewellery, Amazon Fashion Europe. “We are excited to bring together these expert minds for this limited edition collection and to make it available exclusively to Amazon Fashion customers across Europe.”
Shoppers can get their hands on sculptural silver pendants, rings and earrings, with prices ranging from £350 to £700.
Amazon UK first started selling jewellery in 2007 and has built up a large portfolio covering everything from designer jewellery to wedding and engagement collections, gemstones, and diamonds.
This is not the first time the online retailer teams up with a jewellery brand to launch an exclusive limited edition offering. In 2015 Amazon joined hands with jewellers Solange Azagury-Partridge and Yunis & Eliza to upgrade its jewellery collections.
Gemfields is a company committed to the conservation of Mozambique, where it sources its Rubies. 20% of all profits from sales of the collection will be donated to the Niassa Carnivore project, which is an organisation that works to protect lions and other large carnivorous animals in the area.
