Baccarat gets a new Paris flagship store
After opening its first hotel in New York in March, Baccarat is continuing its expansion, having just opened a new store in Paris, on the corner of Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and Avenue Matignon.
The new retail outlet was designed by architects duo Gilles & Boissier, and its interiors feature steel, polished brass, marble, leather and velvet. The first floor, labelled 'Baccarat by Appointment only', is reserved for special orders, and for architects and interior decorators.
On 3rd December the crystal manufacturer also opened the first Maison Baccarat in Asia, in Seoul, South Korea. The venue, looking like a traditional Korean house, offers a selection of Baccarat crystal pieces and Asia's largest collection of Baccarat chandeliers. It also features a bar, for drinking tea and coffee during the day and cocktails in the evening.
Baccarat also opened its first store in Saudi Arabia, inside the new 'Boulevard' shopping mall, located on King Abdul Aziz Road, in the heart of Jeddah.
Finally, in 2016, the label will launch its first Chinese flagship store in Beijing, inside the 'Central Mall' overlooking Shin Kong Place. The façade is inspired by the look created for New York's Hotel Baccarat, and the two-floor store will also feature a bar.
