Barneys New York launches podcast
Barneys New York has announced it is launching its first ever podcast with an eight-episode season that features style, fashion, and culture-focused discussions with designers including Rick Owens and Jonathan Adler.
"Barneys New York has so many stories to tell," said Daniella Vitale, executive officer and president, Barneys New York, in a statement.
"We are so excited to share these fun and thought-provoking conversations with some of the most interesting people in fashion, design, art, and media", she added.
The first episode features Vitale, Barneys' first female CEO in the company's 95-year history, interviewing artist and poet Cleo Wade about women's issues and leadership. Barneys Creative Director Matthew Mazzucca will also be talking with Rick Owens about his recent retrospective and gleaning his thoughts on modern fashion trends.
Also in the first episode, Barneys Creative Ambassador-at-large Simon Doonan will interview husband Jonathan Adler on a host of topics from Adler's design perspective to the couple's first date. Additional guests in the first season include celebrity hair stylist Sally Hershberger and Chief Content Officer of Teen Vogue and Them, Phillip Picardi.
Listeners can subscribe to the podcast's first season, called "In Conversation." A new episode will air each Thursday beginning May 2nd.
