Bloomingdale’s to open store in Norwalk, Connecticut

Macy’s, Inc. on Tuesday announced plans to open a Bloomingdale’s location in Norwalk, Connecticut in fall 2018. The 150,000-square-foot three-level store will be located in a new shopping, dining and entertainment center being developed by General Growth Properties.

The store will carry designer and luxury goods ranging from women’s apparel, menswear, children’s clothing, home goods, accessories, and beauty. It will employ 200 associates.
 
The Norwalk location will be Bloomingdale’s 41st store location. Prior to the opening, the company will open 3 more stores in Honolulu in fall 2015, and in Miami and San Jose in fall 2017.

The company will also open a location in Abu Dhabi that will be operated by Al Tayer Group LLC under a licensing agreement in 2018.
