Capsule to launch consumer event
Hot on the heels of trade shows Panorama and Bread&Butter, who announced initiatives to open up to the general consumer, American trade fair Capsule is looking reach out to a new audience. BPMW, the New York group behind the company, will be hosting a holiday shopping event between December 14 and 15 open to the general public.
At the event, consumers can expect to find one-of-a-kind pieces, overstock, samples, current merchandise and special product from brands that exhibit at the show. More than 100 labels have confirmed their presence at the event, including Maison Kitsune, Maharishi and Armor Lux. On offer will be a mix of men’s and women’s wear, accessories and home goods.
More professional trade shows - usually reserved for buyers and editors – are turning to towards the general public to help reassure brands of the need to participate in shows by creating development opportunities outside of trade show calendar.
