Céline bows Seoul flagship

Céline has opened a brand new Seoul flagship store, located in the trendy district of Cheongdam.

The two-storey store opened its doors March 23, to a flurry of South Korea’s A-list celebrities and fashion darlings including social media it girl Irene Kim, supermodel Park Soo Joo, and actress Han Hyo Joo.

The store itself, situated in Gangnam-gu in Cheongdam, boasts a statement brick facade. Inside, it is furnished with bespoke pieces designed by noted Danish artist, FOS.

Upon entering, customers can peruse the latest small leather goods and bags from Céline on the first floor. The Paris maison's ready-to-wear womenswear is located on the second level.

Other European brands are also making a splash in South Korea this year. Emilio Pucci opened its premier boutique in Korea in mid-March, located on the third floor of Galleria East Luxury Hall in Seoul. 

In early February, H&M said its sister brand & Other Stories would bow its first two Asia stores this year, choosing Seoul as its market-entry city.
