Christian Louboutin opens in Toronto, Honolulu and Houston up next

Christian Louboutin is expanding in North America. The French luxury footwear brand has opened its first Canadian freestanding store and announced the opening of two new North American retail locations in both Honolulu and Houston.
Its new Canadian retail boutique is Louboutin’s 127 global location and is located at 99 Yorkville Avenue in Toronto's upscale Yorkville shopping district. The Canadian store opening was first announced back in February.
The freestanding store boasts 2,625 square feet of retail space over two floors. The upstairs is dedicated to men’s collections while the downstairs space is dedicated to women’s.
Drawing from the character of the building, the store, designed by Household, the London and Los Angeles agency, was fairy tale inspired and emulates an “enchanted forest”.
The exterior of the building is painted in the brand’s signature red, while the inside is lined with off-white “trees” and silver birch wallpaper.
Across the boarder, New York based architecture firm 212box is working on Louboutin’s newest boutique in Houston, Texas, set to open in the fall of 2016. The 2,259square-foot space will be located in The Galleria at 5015 Westheimer Road.
The women’s and men’s offerings will be presented in unique and separate spaces within the boutique, but will still feature the brand’s signature elements such as niche walls and red carpeting.
Meanwhile, Louboutin is also set to open its first boutique in Hawaii. Located inside International Marketplace at 2330 Kalakaua Avenue, the 1,000-square-foot space, once again designed by 212box, will celebrate the natural beauty of Hawaii. It is set to open on August 25.
Christian Louboutin was created in 1992 in Paris.
