The executive will be leaving her post as CEO Valentino, USA and assume her new duties on September 13, 2016. Her appointment marks a new phase for Stuart Weitzman, as its current CEO Wayne Kulkin will also be stepping down. Kulkin played an active role in the luxury shoe brand’s development and growth over 25 years, working in close collaboration with the founder and Executive Chairman Stuart Weitzman.

The Coach group announced that Wayne Kulkin will stay on as a consultant for the company, thanking the executive for his work but providing no further details of the arrangement.

Wendy Kahn has ample experience in the luxury sector, coming from the Italian couture house Valentino. She joined its American subsidiary in 2006 as executive vice president of sales, marketing and retail. Two years later she was promoted to CEO, Valentino USA and the Valentino Fashion Group (VFG) for the United States and Canada.

Between 1996 and 2006, she held various senior leadership positions for the LVMH group, including at Celine, and Emilio Pucci.
