Aug 28, 2014
With the aim of strengthening its menswear division, the Swedish mid-range Filippa K brand has just announced the arrival of a new designer. The German designer Alexander Shaper joined the brand’s Stockholm studios on August 1.

Schaper previously worked at Adidas, where he cut his teeth for seven years. He worked as a designer for the men’s athletics division before taking charge of menswear for the brand’s premium fashion line, Adidas SLVR, which he has worked on for the last three years. Schaper has also been responsible for external collaborations, including those with Pharell Williams, Kanye West and Tom Dixon.
The designer with roots in sportswear will report to Nina Bogstedt, who continues to oversee the entirety of Filippa K collections. Schaper’s first menswear collection for the brand will be presented for autumn-winter 2015-16.
