Five Four collaborates with Marvel Entertainment

On April 1st, Five Four and Marvel Entertainment will launch an Avengers: Age of Ultron collaboration collection inspired by Marvel Super Heroes featured in the upcoming movie.

The collection is an unconventional take on comic book-inspired clothing. Some of the pieces include reversible shirts, full zip shirts, sweaters with hidden pockets, and a limited release jacket. Each item contains a patterned Avengers logo on the lining of the piece or an Avengers ‘A’ pin in black or gold. Five Four co-founder and CEO, Andres Izquieta, wanted the collection to contain subtle references to the comic book characters as opposed to the clothes being very outward about the inspiration.

Five Four launched in 2002 as a contemporary men’s fashion brand and in 2012 the company launched its Five Four Club monthly membership service that delivers outfits to its members based on members’ style preferences. The collaboration collection will be delivered to members in April, one month before the movie’s release.

Izquieta shared a few plans in the near future for the company: "We’re doing something [for Marvel] again next year," Izquieta revealed, adding, "we have something coming up with Mark McNairy. He’s guest designing the entire month of July and we have something with Steve McQueen coming in the fall."
