Furla's sales leapt by 30% in the first six months of 2015 and, to support such strong growth, the company has been busy over the last year with an ambitious marketing and communications strategy. Last year the Italian handbag label notably hired renowned photographer Mario Testino for a "long-term" partnership.

The final step in the implementation of Furla's strategy was the creation of a strengthened communications and marketing team, after the departure last year of Alice Carli, who since 2012 acted in the role of Global Strategic Marketing Manager.

Cristina Andresano succeeded Carli at the end of 2014 as Global Marketing Director. She worked for several fashion brands, notably Diesel, were she took charge of communications and marketing. Previously she worked for Safilo.

Two other professionals recently joined the team: Nicole Briata, as Worldwide Head of Communications. She recently worked for Marni, where she was in charge of public relations, and formerly for Brioni.

The other new entry is that of Marco Taddeo, who worked in the recent past for communication agencies Negri Firman and Karla Otto. He was appointed Product and PR Manager for the EMEA region.

Carla Baita, since 2002 in charge of Furla's public relations in Italy and Germany, was promoted to the post of corporate and media planner.
