Hugo Boss: Michel Perraudin, head of supervisory board

Hugo Boss held its annual shareholders' meeting on Tuesday and following the withdrawal of Permira has also renewed its advisory board. Approved with more than 97% of the votes by the board, Michel Perraudin was thus elected president of the board, succeeding Hellmut Albrecht, who held the position since 2008.

The 68-year old manager is known in the sports world after having been on the Adidas board for 16 years, notably in charge of global human resources. He left the German kit supplier in 2005 to dedicate himself to his role as the president of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry and to serve as an independent corporate consultant for several private equity firms. Before joining Adidas in 1989, he worked at McKinsey for 12 years.

At Hugo Boss, the withdrawal of private equity firm Permira and the return of the Marzotto family also led to a more widespread renewal of the 12-member board. Thus, Gaetano and Luca Marzotto gained their entry onto it. As a reminder, in 2007 the Marzotto family sold a 51% stake in the Valentino group, and shareholder of Hugo Boss, to Permira.
