Hunter announces a string of top-level appointments
British footwear label Hunter - founded in 1856 and famed for its wellington boots - named Alasdhair Willis as creative director at the start of the year, not long after Searchlight Capital Partners became major shareholders in the company in 2012.
Husband to Stella McCartney, Willis joined the ranks of recently-appointed CEO James Seuss, former managing director of his wife’s eponymous brand. In addition to these important new faces at the company, Hunter has announced the arrival of four new top-level managers. First is Niall Shoan, ex-head of Burberry womenswear, who will hold the position of global design director. Dan Lumb, previously at head of e-commerce at Reiss, will look after the company’s online retail activity while Ali Lowry joins the company as global communication director after five years at Armani UK. Ken Pratt joins the footwear firm as chief financial officer after experience at KPMG and Liz Clairborne, where he was in charge of Mexx’s European activity.
