This time it's official, American retail giant J. Crew has signed for its first Parisian location, in the Marais district, for a mixed menswear and womenswear store that should open within two months (a Consilior Partners transaction). The brand-retailer has acquired L’Eclaireur Homme at 14 Rue Malher, as we evoked in November.

Here, J. Crew's neighbours will include Carven, Zapa, Zadig & Voltaire, COS, The Kooples...

The store's surface area consists of just over 1,900 ft² on the ground floor and 430 ft² in the basement with a nearly 33 ft façade. The transfer price is 2.5 million euros with an annual pre-tax rent of 150,000 euros.

In November we mentioned a possible second store in Paris, this time in September. According to the group's management, France is in the top 10 of its online stores.

J. Crew started its expansion into Europe in the United Kingdom, in 2013. Today it has four stores in London with a fifth one in the works.

€1 = $1.18/£0.78
