Jason Wu to launch first fragrance exclusively at Saks
Made in collaboration with master perfumer Frank Voelkl, the new fragrance is a fresh, floral and woody scent that features Mandarin and fig top notes, peony and iris middle notes, and silky musk, milky wood, and papyrus base notes. The scent also captures a sense of nostalgia, with a middle note of Jasmine sambac that is the flower Wu used to pick from his neighbor’s stone wall during his childhood in Taiwan.
Wu partnered with architect Andre Mellone to design the fragrance bottle that features a gold cap in a perfect circle and a seamless thick glass base.
The bottle is also the star of the fragrance’s visual campaign that stars Lily Aldridge. Wu tapped photographers Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and Creative Director Fabien Baron to create the campaign that showcases the elegant and modern packaging, as well as the juice’s nude tone.
The Jason Wu fragrance will be available at Saks Fifth Avenue and will retail for $145.
