Jean Paul Gaultier is to launch his first wallpaper collection in partnership with the French upholstery fabric and home accessories maker Lelièvre.

The designer has been working with Lelièvre since 2012, having produced four collections of fabrics and home accessories.

Available in January, the all-new wallpaper collection draws on Gaultier's signature style, namely plants and flowers, sailor stripes and tattoos. These motifs are used in the exclusive Lelièvre collection, with 15 models and 42 colour options to choose from.

The spirit of the fashion house is captured in papers that retail from €94 to €210 with designs that include rock ‘n' roll tattoos with Japanese inspiration, busy graffiti patterns, and quirky motifs. One wallpaper, César, pays homage to the artist of the same name and there is also a floral print with glitter detail plus one wallpaper with a leather look.

Lelièvre was founded in 1914 and initially specialised in velvet. The brand previously signed a product license with Sonia Rykiel in 2010.
