LVMH has apparently found the new president of its Givenchy brand. According to an article published by WWD, the fashion group should soon be confirming the arrival of Sebastian Suhl as the new Givenchy CEO, effective today (March 5, 2012). Until last November, Mr. Suhl was working for Prada as its chief operating officer. The new appointment thus comes only one day after Givenchy’s catwalk show in Paris, where the label showed off its latest collection designed by Riccardo Tisci, Givenchy’s creative director since 2005.

Sebastian Suhl first joined Prada in 2001 as the general manager of Prada France. He then served as the CEO of Prada Asia-Pacific before being promoted to the position of chief operating officer of the Prada group in 2009, at the age of 41.

At Givenchy, Mr. Suhl succeeds Susan Whiteley, who had joined Givenchy only a year ago from Louis Vuitton UK. She is now said to be returning to the UK for personal reasons.
