Macy's names Richard A. Lennox the Chief Marketing Officer
Macy’s announced on Thursday the appointment of Richard A. Lennox to Chief Marketing Officer, effective September 15, 2016. He succeeds Martine Reardon who left the company in May after 32 years of service.
As Chief Marketing Officer, the industry innovator will be responsible for Macy’s omnichannel market presence and strategy, including brand, promotional, store, digital and events marketing activity. Lennox will report to Macy’s Inc. President Jeff Gennette and join the company’s Executive Committee.
Prior to Macy’s, Lennox worked at the De Beers Group and oversaw all operations for its US marketing function, and product and business developments. He also worked at Toys “R” Us where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.
