Mapic Awards 2015: Primark, McArthurGlen and HopShop all winners

The latest commercial property awards, Mapic Awards 2015, held in Cannes, France, honoured projects, creations and trade professionals in the sector.

Primark thus won the best fashion and footwear retail concept, while American brand Five Guys won the same award in the food category. The award for the best new retail design concept went to the French brand Tanya Heath and its interchangeable women's pumps. Germany's Vapiano won the award for best global expansion, while ECE Future Labs won the award for best digital strategy and Magnum won for best pop-up.
 
In terms of real estate, the award for best new shopping centre went to Milaneo in Stuttgart, Germany, and the award for the redevelopment of a centre went to Alegro Stubal in Lisbon.

MacArthurGlen won in the outlet category, with its Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport. As for projects, Markthal of Rotterdam was named the best urban project of the year along with France's Rue HopShop.
 
The Mapic Awards once again gave honours to personalities in the sector, notably Melissa Gliatta, Executive Vice President of Thor Equities, was named personality of the year. The Industry Lifetime Achievement Award went to the CEO of Michael P. Kercheval, CEO of ICSC.
