Marc Jacobs opens in rue Saint-Honoré, Paris

Bernard Arnault's group shuffles its brands' retail premises in rue Saint Honoré, Paris. Next spring Marc Jacobs will open a 75 m² store in the chic, central Parisian thoroughfare, at the former premises of the Dior Beauté pop-up shop opened in 2013 at no. 368.

The new store will be dedicated to womenswear collections - Marc Jacobs

But the latter will not vanish. It will instead take the place of the Baby Tuileries shop at no. 326, near the renowned Colette concept store.

The most significant change actually concerns Marc Jacobs. The American label had already closed down its store at Paris' Palais Royal. At the same time as opening the new rue Saint Honoré store, dedicated to womenswear, the label will close down the two stores it is currently operating in place du Marché Saint-Honoré, Paris, one of which is a Bookmarc and the other is Marc by Marc Jacobs.

This is evidently a result of the strategy Marc Jacobs is pursuing. The label decided to group together all its collections under the Marc Jacobs name, thus closing down the Marc by Marc Jacobs line, which featured a selection of items designed to appeal to younger consumers.
