Marina Rinaldi expands online store to US
Marina Rinaldi, the plus-size ready-to-wear clothing brand, launched its online shop in the US on Monday. The brand first launched its online store in Europe in 2014.
The new e-commerce website offers the Italian brand’s two labels, Marina Rinaldi and Persona by Marina Rinaldi, as well as a full assortment of clothing ranging from ready-to-wear to accessories.
Marina Rinaldi highlights its knitwear, scarves and dresses on its homepage, as well as its new down jacket styles, which include a short nylon jacket and a long drop-proof down jacket.
The website also links to the brand’s campaigns, editorials, news, collaboration with Stella Jean, and its history that dates back to 1980.
Founded by Archille Maramotti, Marina Rinaldi is named after Maramotti’s great-grandmother who owned an atelier in Italy in 1850. The brand currently operates 300 stores including a standalone location on Madison Avenue in New York City.
Marina Rinaldi is one of 35 brands under the Max Mara Fashion Group, which was founded by Maramotti in 1951 as the Maramotti Confezioni company.
In addition to the online store launch, Marina Rinaldi launched its first-ever fragrance. The scent is available in Piacenza, Italy and will be available in London on November 17, Amsterdam on November 18, and Munich on November 19.
