Moda Operandi is highlighting new and emerging designers with 'The Platform', a new online destination devoted to young brands.

Yeon Park, the eponymous label from the Korean-born designer, is one of four brands on The Platform - Yeon Park

The Platform, which launches today, lives on the Moda Operandi website and introduces customers to new designers and brands through storytelling and shopping. The online luxury retailer selects brands based on fashion credibility, strong design point of view, production quality and design capabilities.

The first four global brands on The Platform are New York City-based label Markarian by Alexandra O’Neill, Yeon Park, Eleanor Balfour from London and Ukranian label Lake Studio. Each brand will have a dedicated trunk show on The Platform, as well as an in-season offering as part of Moda Operandi’s Boutique section.

“We are thrilled to launch The Platform for our global customers,” said Moda Operandi CEO Deborah Nicodemus.

“Emerging talent is a segment within our business that we are seeing tremendous growth alongside our existing luxury brand portfolio. The Moda customer is a highly sophisticated shopper who comes to us not only for well-known brands, but also to discover designers they may not be as familiar with – mixing labels and price points across all categories. We are dedicated to supporting and nurturing emerging talent, while at the same time, creating a highly elevated experience for our luxury branded business.”

The Platform will add new designers biannually across apparel and non-apparel categories and will work with Moda on an exclusive basis. In addition, the online retailer will work closely with the designers on assortment planning and guidance, as well as brand development.
