Net-A-Porter launches Net-A-Sporter, its "sports” arm
Net-A-Porter is moving into activewear. Having carried brands like Nike and Stella McCartney for Adidas, the luxury and designer e-commerce giant is launching a new activewear arm on July 9 dubbed Net-A-Sporter.
It will carry a collection of 37 sports brands, running the gamut from accessible to more upscale, from functional to more creative - or both.
That is particularly the case for the English brand Monreal London, which has developed luxury sportswear collections that borrow the style and image directly from the wardrobe of its young designers.
At first, the new category will cover no less than 11 different physical activities. Net-A-Sporter’s "après-sport" selection will even provide the wardrobe for those who want to look stylish after a work-out, said Net-A-Porter president Alison Loehnis recently to the British press.
