Nicole Richie releases capsule sunglass collection for House of Harlow
The actress has created a limited edition collection of sunglasses for the California-based brand, which she founded in 2008. House of Harlow 1960 will sell just 1,000 pairs of the sunglasses.
The brand teased the sunglass collection last week with a video on its Instagram page showing Nicole Richie designing the new pieces. The new collection marks a return to sunglasses for the brand, which has skipped on eyewear for the past few seasons.
Richie’s newest collection offers just one style, however, a pair of vintage-inspired circular frames with either black or gold rims. Richie says limiting the collection to just one pair allows her to have a more direct connection with the customers.
House of Harlow 1960 debuted in 2008 with a collection of jewelry at Kitson. It then expanded to include clothing and shoes in 2010, and later a collection of handbags. After selling the line in various department stores such as Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus, Richie chose to move the brand to Revolve.
The actress and reality star says the brand is attempting to take a more direct to consumer approach. The new capsule collection of sunglasses is available exclusively on the House of Harlow online shop.
