Nike creates Chief Digital Officer post
Feb 10, 2016
By 2020, Nike intends to top the $50 billion revenue mark. In order to reach this target, the world sporting giant clearly wishes to boost its digital capabilities, which it has defined as a 'crucial accelerator'.

To underpin this objective, the group has created a new key post, that of Chief Digital Officer. The choice fell on Adam Sussman, a former director at Zynga, The Walt Disney Company and Electronic Arts, who has acted since 2014 as Nike's Global Strategy and Development Vice-President. He will report to Trevor Howards, the Nike brand's President.
"Digital capabilities allow a fundamental transformation in our business, by creating a digital eco-system that radiates on everything we do, Howards explained in a press release. Today's announcement is coherent with Nike's promise to develop intense, long-standing relationships with consumers, offering them the best sport service."
Adam Sussman will be in charge of a team that will develop a series of digital products across the group's various platforms.
