Nivea Men sponsors El Clásico Miami
Nivea Men will sponsor El Clásico Miami this weekend which brings soccer teams Real Madrid C.F. and FC Barcelona to North America to compete head to head for the first time on US soil.
Activations at the event include the Casa Clásico, a fan zone with a VIP lounge and shaving stations. There will also be a virtual reality opportunity to tour the Real Madrid locker rooms.
Nivea Men is already a global sponsor of Real Madrid. The existing relationship provided a natural extension of sponsorship between the brands. Jennifer DeLaney, Director of Marketing for Nivea Men explained the event will bring "a piece of Spain to Miami".
Nivea's goal in sponsoring the event is to help promote soccer in the US. The sport has the largest global footprint of any sport. American interest in soccer is however comparatively lower than the rest of the world.
Nivea Men is the top men's skincare brand globally. It is manufactured by Beiersdorf AG in Germany who also produces Eucerin, La Prairie, and Aquaphor.
Nivea's Casa Clásico is open to fans July 28 and 29th. The title game between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be played on Saturday, July 29th.
