The OPI nail polish brand, acquired in late 2010 by the Coty Group, has just appointed John Heffner as its president and general manager. OPI founder George Schaeffer will retain his title of CEO while Suzi Weiss-Fischmann will continue as executive vice president and artistic director.

“We're thrilled to have John join the OPI family, as the nail industry is absolutely booming. OPI has been experiencing double digit growth both domestically and internationally,” said George Schaeffer, who will focus on innovation and finding new markets for the American brand, which is already present in more than 100 countries.

John Heffner will now be in charge of daily operations at OPI headquarters in North Hollywood. Formerly, he served as president and general manager for 14 years at another nail polish brand, Creative Nail Design (CND).
