Peter Philips leaves Chanel to join Dior

Peter Philips has been named creative and image director of Christian Dior make-up, effective immediately, the company has announced.

Of Belgian origin and a graduate from the Académie Royal des Beaux-Arts in Antwerp, Peter Philips was previously head of Chanel cosmetics, a position which he had held since 2008.

Tyen, the makeup artist and photographer who has been Dior’s creative director of cosmetics since 1981, will remain within LVMH, WWD says.
