Première Vision chooses Shanghai

There will be no more alternating between Beijing and Shanghai for Première Vision China and Denim by Première Vision Asia. President Philippe Pasquet has made the decision to base the bi-annual fabric trade show Première Vision China in Shanghai.

Until now, Première Vision had taken a similar route as Messe Frankfurt’s Intertextile show by rotating locations, showing in Beijing in March and in Shanghai in October. The arrival this year of Denim by Première Vision in China reinforced the French trade’s show position in Shanghai and attracted 3,700 visitors. “China does not really have any jean’s brands, rather clothing companies who integrate denim into their collections. The relationship, therefore, between buyers and Première Vision China and Denim by has grown stronger,” says the show organisers, who also tells us that there are many more brands present in Shanghai than in the country’s capital.

Mess Frankfurt will continue to alternate its show between Beijing and Shanghai. The German group wish to continue this rotation in order to stay close to and be present in what they say are two very distinct markets.

Dates for Première Vision China and Denim by Première Vision Asia are not yet confirmed but due to take place in March next year.
