Printemps lifts the veil on its anniversary celebrations
Printemps is finally lifted the veil on the festivities to start on 20 March. It is to be a particularly major event for the historic department store on Paris' Boulevard Haussmann but the celebrations will also extend to the rest of the Printemps network as well, notably with the special limited edition of 1,000 products created exclusively for the event that will be for sale.
Thus, in addition to all the events, the anniversary will be celebrated with nearly a thousand fashion, beauty, jewellery, decor and furniture products created exclusively for the event. Therefore, as of 20 March, the first day of spring, creations by 400 brands taking on the floral and pink-coloured theme of this anniversary will be launched at the Haussmann store, while a selection of them will be offered at the store's other locations.
Whereas some brands offered to create one or two products, others have gone so far as to create a small capsule collection to mark the event. In fact, there are four of them, from the luxury and high-end sector: Dolce & Gabbana, Gérard Darel, Antik Batik and Bimba y Lola.
And, in the midst of all these products, Printemps also wants to offer a more accessible selection of its own brands. But to mark the occasion, it did not want to go at it alone, thus choosing to call upon Maria Luisa. The concept-store and its artistic director had collaborated on selections until now but had never really "created" for Printemps. This is no longer the case though, with a wardrobe for men and women consisting of some twenty pieces featuring pink floral prints that will take over the department store.
