Puma announces departure of chief commercial officer Stefano Caroti

Published
Dec 8, 2014

It comes as no great surprise that Puma has announced the resignation of its chief commercial officer Stefano Caroti. His departure having already been hinted at for some time, and it had been made easier since the appointment of Bjorn Gulden to the head of the company in July 2013.

Officially, Caroti is leaving at the end of the month due to family reasons.

Stefano Caroti joined Nike in 2008. He came to Puma at almost the same time as Melody Harris Jensbach, who previously worked at Esprit and who returned to the company in 2012. Bjorn Gulden will take over Caroti’s responsibilities. He has already managed product development and marketing. According to Puma, no decision has yet been reached as to whether the company will look for a replacement for the position.

Following Caroti’s departure, the Kering-owned company now relies on the leadership of three managing directors. Besides its CEO, there is its chief financial officer, Michael Lämmermann, and its chief operating officer Lars Sorensen, who was hired in August.
