Saks Fifth Avenue unveils revitalized 32,000-sq-ft beauty floor in NY flagship
Saks has unveiled a new 32,000-square-foot beauty space occupying the second floor of the retailer's NY flagship. The floor offers consumer experiences and 40% more space for 120 brands, nearly half of which are new.
58 of the color cosmetics, skincare, wellness, and bespoke and exclusive fragrance brands on the floor are new to Saks' in-store beauty assortment. The beauty floor also offers 15 spa rooms which offer treatments including medi-spa treatments, facials, massages, manicures, and brow services. There is also a flower shop on the floor.
There are spa rooms dedicated exclusively to Chanel, Dior, Kiehl's, La Mer, and Sisley Paris, among others, modeled after each label's European spa flagships. FaceGym, a non-invasive facial workout exclusive to Saks will debut its first US location on the beauty floor and customers will also be able to book cool sculpting and laser hair removal from Skinney MedSpa.
"We curated the floor to represent the best innovations in beauty and wellness in a truly specialized space," said Tracy Margolies, chief merchant at Saks Fifth Avenue in a statement. Margolies added there will also be panels and workshops in the space, addressing customers' holistic beauty and wellness needs.
"The bold decision to move Beauty to the second floor, from the traditional main floor model, allowed us to build a one-of-a-kind destination enabling Saks to create the epitome of an experiential beauty floor," added Marc Metrick, president, Saks Fifth Avenue.
Saks beauty floor also has a flexible 850-square-foot event space that will host activations, master classes, public appearances, private events and visual installations.
The beauty floor is open now at Saks Fifth Avenue's flagship in New York.
