MADRID, 1st July (EUROPA PRESS), Scarlett Johansson, currently one of the most international and recognised actresses, falls again under the instructions of photographer Mario Sorrenti to represent MANGO’s new Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 campaign.

A landmark venue in Los Angeles was the location chosen for the MANGO photo shoot, led by renowned photographer Mario Sorrenti, who has worked with Scarlett for MANGO since she become the principal image of the company.

Scarlett herself recently talked about her work with the renowned photographer: “Mario Sorrenti makes me feel very comfortable: they are fun sessions." This synergy is reflected in the outcome of the photo shoots that show Scarlett in a more mature and sophisticated light, without losing the elegance and sexy spirit that both characterize her.

Camilla Nickerson was responsible for directing the styling of the photoshoot, while Stephane Marais repeated his position in makeup and Oribe was entrusted with hair styling.

In this new collection, MANGO launches a fresh look on the timeless classic British country style: trench coats, double-breasted jackets and tailored coats, without forgetting, in tricot fabric, thicker, handcrafted-looking garments and basic items.

The effortless combination of these traditional garments evokes a late '70s era style, when fashion icons like Anjelica Huston were synonymous with freedom and style. Rich textures such as tweed, corduroy and leather, along with sheer silks and gold accents, create a contrast between male and female, giving new meaning to the classics.

This reawakening of 70s style is also reflected in the clothes’ proportions. Waists are accentuated; mixing flowing blouses with more structured outerwear, skirts get longer and pants wider. There is also a certain Bohemian air; hand printed cashmere, geometric and floral patterned jacquard fabric in original color combinations.

The search for timeless classics is also reflected in the range of colors. The perfect combination between the traditional and elegant camel, gray and blue colour palette, created this season, is accented with more countryside-inspired colors such as warm brown and winter reds.
