Stone Island has made a new investment in New York's SoHo district, in the same location tested last year with a temporary store.

The Italian sportswear brand headed by Carlo Rivetti, well-known for its innovative, high-tech garments, has announced in a press release the opening of a second US store at 41 Greene Street, New York.

It is the brand's twentieth store worldwide, and the second in the USA, following the opening last February of a shop in Los Angeles.

The interiors are fitted out with furniture combining design with functionality, mostly in wood, carbon fibre, glass and aluminium.

The 320 m2 store is set within a classic 1910 building, and benefits from two ample shop-windows overlooking the street.

The brand stated in a press release that the premises will be home to Stone Island's collections and also host a special installations area.

In 2015 Stone Island generated a revenue of €87 million, equivalent to a 10% growth over 2014.
