Stylist magazine to launch in France
Shortlist Media has signed a joint-venture with the Marie-Claire group to launch a French version is its free weekly publication, Stylist, in France. Starting spring 2013, 400,000 copies of the magazine are expected to be given out in nine of France’s major cities; Paris, Lyon, Toulouse, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, Lille, Strasbourg, Bordeaux and Nantes.
Launched three years ago in the UK, the French version of Stylist magazine will be the first ‘freemium’ (high-end and free) publication of its kind in France. Aside from the weekly print version, the magazine will be available in digital format via tablet devices.
As for the team behind the Stylist France, Aude Walker - ex-Glamour, Be and Technikart journalist - will head up the editorial team. Aude Diwan, also ex-Glamour will take on the role of Editor-at-Large. Head of publicity is Claire Deremaux, who was previously at Votre Beauté. Gwenaelle Thebault, Marketing Director at the Marie Claire group will become Publishing and Managing Director of Stylist France.
