"I am honoured to represent Britain in this way. It is an immense privilege. Our country has always been a great trading nation and remains a centre of creativity, talent and innovation. I welcome David Cameron's focus on growing the economy by increasing overseas trade and I will do everything I can to promote British business abroad." Tamara Mellon OBE, Founder and Chief Creative Officer

“…I am determined to pursue with zeal every opportunity to further British business success. Our British ambassadors will be at the forefront of this; there can be no better champion for British business than them.” Mr. David Cameron, Prime Minister for Britain

This appointment follows Ms. Mellon’s award of an OBE last month for services to the fashion Industry and comes on the cusp of the company's 15th anniversary in 2011.
