Luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. has revealed actresses Elle Fanning and Lupita Nyong'o as the stars of its first-ever, celebrity-fronted campaign.

The retailer, which has previously always employed models for its ads, released a series of images featuring the two actresses alongside models Natalie Westling and Christy Turlington, posing in front of a signature Tiffany-blue backdrop above the tagline: "Some style is legendary".

The fall campaign was styled by Grace Coddington, who stepped down from her full-time role as creative director of American Vogue earlier this year, and photographed by David Sims.

Both Fanning and Nyong'o took to Instagram to showcase the Tiffany shots, expressing their pride at being chosen for the fresh campaign, which marks a step in a new direction for the iconic 179-year-old brand.
