Tomas Maier launched his namesake label in 1997 with a line of swimsuits and cashmere sweaters. The brand has since grown to include men’s and women’s clothing, eyewear, and accessories like leather goods and jewelry, but still with a casual, beachside bent. Maier launched his brand’s website back in 2000, with an online shop available only to American customers until now.

To launch the new site, Maier partnered with high-end tech company Farfetch Black & White, the brainchild of e-commerce fashion powerhouse Farfetch, which created the division in late 2015 to help brands power their e-shops. Starting June 24, Tomas Maier products will be available to customers around the world. The brand will also offer same-day delivery for New York and Florida residents. Farfetch has previously worked with fashion labels such as Manolo Blahnik on their e-commerce platforms.

Born in Germany, Maier has acted as creative director of Italian luxury brand Bottega Venetta since 2001. After studying at the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris, Maier has also worked for French labels such as Hermès and Sonia Rykiel.

Maier’s namesake brand is based in the United States, with five stores in New York and Florida.
