Tommy Hilfiger to introduce new runway show concept at NYFW
Tommy Hilfiger announced on Tuesday that the fashion brand will unveil a new runway show concept at New York Fashion Week this season.
Baptized #TommyNow, the runway show will be open to the public and will offer a shoppable live stream which will allow those at the show and those watching remotely to immediately shop every look on tommy.com.
The show will also mark the global launch of the #TommyxGigi collaborative capsule and will include looks from the collection as well as looks from the Fall 2016 Hilfiger Collection.
“#Tommynow is the ultimate expression of my brand philosophy, and the show I have always wanted to present,” says Tommy Hilfiger, in a news statement. “We are a brand that breaks conventions, puts the consumer at the heart of our business, and believes in creating fun, inspiring experiences that fuse fashion and entertainment. Having supermodel and social media icon Gigi Hadid headlining this event will be an unforgettable moment, and I am excited to share it with all our friends and fans around the world on Friday night.”
Gigi Hadid will open the show in a look from the TommyXGigi collection. The fashion week extravaganza taking place at “Tommy Pier” will equally feature fairground rides, carnival games, and a mix of vendors.
#Tommynow will be a two-day event, with the runway show taking place at 7:00 p.m. on September 9th at “Tommy Pier” (Pier 16 at the South Street Seaport).
