After founder Jeffrey Lubell stepped down from his CEO and creative director roles earlier this year, True Religion has finally named its design successor. Gary Harvey will take over as creative director of the premium denim line.

The company has come to a long-term agreement with Harvey, who has been working in London for the past eight years for his own consultancy firm GaryHarveyCreative, where clients included Adidas, Chanel, Diesel, DNKY, Levi’s Nike and Revlon. Gary Harvey also held the position of creative director of denim brand Levi’s Europe for five years. In his new role, Harvey will report to chief merchandising officer, Lynne Koplin.

Founded in 1922, the Californian brand was acquired by TowerBrook Captial earlier in the summer and has since seen a change of boss, with David Conn taking over the reigns since the departure of Lubell.
