UBM and JFW-International to hold first IFF Magic Japan show in April

IFF Magic Japan is officially one week away. The inaugural trade show event born from a joint venture between UBM’s Magic and JFW-International Fashion Fair will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition center on April 26-28.
Magic and JFW first announced their partnership and the inaugural IFF Magic Japan show in April 2016. The two companies partnered to create IFF Magic Japan to serve the Japanese fashion market, which is considered to be the third largest fashion market in the world after the US and EU. The new show will also be held twice a year in the spring and fall seasons.
IFF Magic is created to be the cornerstone of Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo, with as much as 700 exhibitors this year, including men’s and women’s brands based in Japan or are seeking an agent in Japan. In addition to the exhibitors, IFF Magic will house a blogger lounge, much like the Magic trade shows, and a café and bar for attendees.
In addition, the trade show will host seminars about digitalization, design and business in fashion with Hiroyuki Murai, President and CEO of Baroque Japan Limited and Beams Executive Officer Kazuyoshi Minamimagoe among others.
Magic and JFW confirmed that buyers and retailers from 30 different countries will attend, representing Bloomingdale’s, 10 Corso Como, Anthropologie and more.
