After acquiring American retail chain Intimacy and Dutch store formula LinCHérie in 2010, the Belgian lingerie manufacturer has now just bought an 87% majority stake in Rigby & Peller for the value of 8 million pounds. The British retailer’s previous owners, the Kenton family, will keep a 13% holding.

Founded in the 1930s, Rigby & Peller was bought by June Kenton and husband Harold in 1982. The high-end multi-brand lingerie retail chain currently operates 7 stores in London and has a turnover of 10.1 million pounds.
On its website, the retailer offers brands such as Lejaby, Felina, Empreinte and also products under its own name. And that is without mentioning the brands that already belong to Van de Velde's portfolio, such as Marie Jo, Prima Donna and Andres Sarda.
